Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

BuyerPath (“BuyerPath,” “we,” “us”) helps real estate professionals and the home buyers and sellers they work with stay connected throughout a move. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using BuyerPath, you agree to this Policy.

The short version: We collect what you give us (your account, what you’re looking for or selling, and messages with your agent) plus basic usage data. Your agent sees only coarse, high-level signals about you — never your raw financial details. We use Google’s Gemini AI to power chat and insights, we don’t sell your personal information, and on BuyerPath we don’t show third-party lender, agent, or sponsor ads. You can delete your account and data anytime from within the app.

1. Who this Policy covers

BuyerPath has two kinds of users: agents (real estate professionals) who invite their clients and use the dashboard, and clients (home buyers and/or sellers) invited by an agent. This Policy applies to both.

2. Information we collect

Account information

Your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash). Agents may also provide a company name, logo, brand color, and phone number.

Contact information you choose to add

A phone number and current address so your agent can reach you. Providing these is optional.

What you’re looking for (buyers)

Property preferences (type, bedrooms, areas, must-haves) and the inputs you enter into the readiness tools — such as income, monthly debts, down-payment savings, credit range, employment, and a target price. These financial inputs are used only to compute your general readiness picture; the raw numbers are never shared with your agent.

What you’re selling (sellers)

Details about your property (type, size, location), your timeline, your reason for selling, and how ready the home is — plus, kept private from your agent, a price expectation and general mortgage/equity situation.

Messages, searches, and AI chat

Notes and property links you exchange with your connected agent, the search criteria you enter when browsing homes, and the messages you send to the in-app AI assistant.

Notifications and usage data

If you enable push notifications, a device token used to deliver them. We also collect basic log data, device/browser type, and activity timestamps used to operate and secure the service.

3. How we use your information

4. The privacy boundary — what your agent can and cannot see

This is core to how BuyerPath works. Your connected agent can see your name, the contact details you chose to share, a general readiness band (e.g., “high / building / early” — never a number), a coarse price range (e.g., “~$400–450k” — never an exact figure), a plain-language summary of what’s generally holding you back (e.g., “down payment short”), your general timeline, what you’re looking for or selling, and messages you send them.

Your agent cannot see your income, debts, credit score, exact budget, home equity, mortgage balance, or any raw financial number. Those values are used only to derive the coarse signals above and are never exposed to your agent or anyone else.

5. How we share information

6. AI processing

Chat and insight features are powered by Google’s Gemini models. When you use the AI assistant, your messages are sent to Google to generate a response. AI features require your consent, which you give in the app. AI responses are informational only and are not financial, legal, or real-estate advice.

6a. Google API Services & Limited Use

BuyerPath's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically: when an agent connects their Google Calendar, we read free/busy availability only to propose open showing times, and we create or update only the showing events the agent's clients book through BuyerPath. When an agent connects Google Drive, we access only files the agent explicitly selects or that are uploaded through the app. Data received from Google APIs — whether raw, aggregated, or derived — is never used to develop, train, or improve machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models (foundational or otherwise), is never sold, is never used for advertising, and is never transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide the user-facing features described above or as required by law. Our AI assistant features operate on information users provide directly to BuyerPath and do not receive Google Calendar or Google Drive data.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (clients from the contact screen; agents from the brand screen), which removes your personal data; some records may be retained where required by law or in anonymized form.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. Children

BuyerPath is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

10. Your choices and rights

You may access or update your information in the app, control push notifications through your device settings, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your information; contact us to exercise them.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date.
